Grace, she takes the blame...
Week three of our top 8 doctrines unveils "Grace" as an essential Christian doctrine. Well, 91.5% of us thought so anyway. Did our voters get it right? Should grace have made the top 8? Should it have been even higher?
And the one that's troubling me the most - isn't demanding belief in grace as essential sort of self defeating? Have your say here.
Hello from TV Land
Sunday May 4th saw St Pixels appear on national television on BBC's Sunday Life. A big hello to everyone who is looking in today because of that program, which followed the action at a meet in Derbyshire last month, where many people from St Pixels met face to face for the first time.
If you're interested in finding out more about the website (and community) here just follow the coloured links at the top of the page. It may take a little getting used to - Frequently asked questions (and hopefully the corresponding answers!) are found here.Other than that, come on in and have a look around.

Where Do You Find God?
Jame
has given us something to think about in finding ways to see God in our everyday lives. I can't help but sit there and stare at the water, especially during the week, because no one's ever in it, and for some reason it just seems so much easier to talk to God.
Where do you find God in your day-to-day life? Stop by Jame's blog, and share.
Being good samaritans online
Following the session on manipulative behaviour at the Morley weekend, and the ensuing discussion here, Grolp has written a thought-provoking document that reflects on the opportunities for more effective pastoral care within the community on the basis of her own experience with the Samaritans. Join the discussion here.
Doctrine Idol: 8th Place
The votes are in and counted (notwithstanding a technical issue with the second part of the poll.) And now we're ready to count down to the number one essential doctrine for Christians today.
To make the final round, a doctrine had to be voted as essential by more than 80% of voters. I won't be giving much away if I tell you that the nomination "pomegranates" didn't make the final eight. I'm staggered to say that it got a vote... Sorry seems to be the hardest word Repent! Repent! Repent! It's the cry of the prophets and the apostles. It's the instruction of the televangelists. From bumper sticker to t-shirts the message keeps coming. Repent! And now St Pixels has got the bug. The notion of repentance has made it into the list of "essential" beliefs or practices for the christian. 83% of us identified repentance as essential for us to be christian. Do you agree? Discuss away.
